SUS signed a collaboration contract for 3 months with IMOSS At the end of September 2017 SUS signed a contract with IMOSS for 3 months, to collaborate in urban design projects and offers for new projects. SUS is going to be one of the partners of IMOSS complementing the firm with sustainability, research and process management.
From 1 September 2017 SUS start collaboration with Atelier DUTCH, Almere SUS started a collaboration with Atelier DUTCH for in first instance half a year. We believe that our companies complement each other and that we share a professional opinion on architecture and urban planning. From 1 september 2017 SUS will have it’s homebase at De Steiger 24, Almere Haven.
SUS was asked to contribute to the Planning Seminar at Gaborone university, July 2017 Introduction and background Gaborone: Gaborone is a relatively new city, which started its history 50 years ago, when Botswana became a nation. The city was meant to be a small capital with approximately 50.000 inhabitants. The city would be the homebase for all the governmental institutions, like the parliament, ambassies and the ministries. SUS, together with The Mobile Factory, forms a think tank and working tank in the search for strategies for complex urban issues, which can also be converted into feasible and widely supported solutions. And one of the strangest things I noticed is why so often there is a failure of electricity supply, while so many people live and work in this country. I live in Muziekwijk (estate Almere) and therefore I travelled many times along the sun island in the Noorderplassen. This solar island is a renewable energy project with solar panels, enabling the electricity delivery of 400 households in Almere. Why isn’t there such an island actually in Nigeria, I was thinking?
